Perhaps one of Flower City Managements most challenging projects to date is the former site of the Downtown Motor Lodge located in the Northern gateway entrance to the South Wedge District. The existing building was scheduled for demolition in October 2003. Mossien Associates Architects, P.C. were selected to develop the conceptual plans for the site. The plans are to build a mixed-use facility comprised of residential and retail shops. We want to create an urban environment that is pedestrian friendly. In July of 2003 many neighbors and organizations came out to support our design charette. We expect and anticipate much support for the project. Upon completion of the conceptual plans, we will meet with the City of Rochester for the necessary approvals.
